MISTY'S DIARY APRIL 28, 2000

Mew kitties! The big day has come and gone. On April 23rd, Keedie, SnowPuff, Tang, and I graduated with honors from Claw University. What an eventful day it was! We stood on stage in the Claw Theater with our graduation caps on. We stood with many other graduating cats, as we proudly received our diplomas! Now we each have our BCC degree! If you'd like to see our diplomas, they can be viewed by visiting Our Claw Furship Index Page and clicking on each of our names to see each of our own pages. We're so excited, thrilled, honored, and happy to have made such a wonderful achievement! We each received greeting cards from the Claw Social Committee congratulating us, too. Now we are level II members!

Our meowmie had a frightening run-in with a pit bull a few days back. She was out walking with Brownie when a pit bull came running toward her from the opposite side of a very busy, main street. The attacking dog only seemed to want to mate with Brownie; why we don't know because he has been neutered, plus they were both males. He did no harm to either of them, but he wouldn't go away, which scared meowmie terribly! Finally, the dog's owner came and took him away. But meowmie has vowed not to walk Brownie there any more. When will the owners of these dogs remember to keep their dogs indoors or at least, fenced in? It's as much for their dogs' safety as it is for the safety of other dogs and people! Keeping your dog confined will protect him or her against being hit by a car, stolen, abused, attacked by other animals, unwanted breeding, and diseases. Please, dog owners (and cat owners, too!), keep your pets inside! An indoor pet is a happy pet. Large dogs can be confined happily in a fenced in area. That's it from me for this time. See you next time!
