SAVE THE TIGERS

I want to tell you about some information I read about the tiger at the online Discovery magazine. It's rather sad and disturbing news. I read that there are only about 5000 tigers left living in the wild worldwide now and that of those 5000, there are only about 20 left alive of the subspecies of tigers that inhabit southern China. This is most upsetting. I wanted to pass this on to all you cat lovers out there. We need to save the tigers before they all become extinct! If you care about the tigers and love them as members of the cat family as much as I do (hey, I was born in the year of the tiger under the astrological sign of Leo the lion), then let's all pull together and help to save them before it's too late! I cried when I read some of the sad facts about tigers being hunted down just to put their bones into medicines in China! It's awful. The Javan and Bali tigers (2 of the 8 of the world's tiger species) are already extinct. By the time you read this, the Sumatran tigers may also be gone..... To learn more about this and about tigers, take a look at the Discovery Magazine articles by clicking on the link below about tigers. You will get to see some beautiful tiger pictures. Being they are copyrighted, I'm not allowed to use them. Please visit: Discovery Online Feature About Tigers to find the tigers' information. You may also learn more about tigers and tiger conservation by visiting the website links listed at the end of this article. So go take a look! Then do something to help save the tigers, whatever you can! To learn more about tigers, you may also visit the homesite of Siberian Tiger at The Pet Vine by going to: Siberian Tiger's Homesite and viewing all the pages at this homesite. I need to go and dry my tears for the tigers........
