VALENTINES FOR CATS

Valentine's Day is a very special time for my cats. It's a time when every cat gets a chance to tell each other how much they love each other. It's also a time when the humans in the household take the time to tell the cats how much they love them. This year, Misty has a big crush on Tang. She's sending Tang a nice catnip heart toy and a brand new collar, in the hopes that he will see how much she loves him. Of course, in a way, Tang is her adopted brother. But Misty doesn't see it that way. Cats don't always know these things. So she's wearing her heart on her sleeve for Tang. Alas, this is a sad story for Misty, however. Tang has no use for girlfriends any more. He's gotten too old for that. Being the ripe old age of 10 years now, Tang isn't interested in finding a mate any more..... So Misty will just have to grin and bear it for now, till another chance for love comes along. She's made of strong stuff and will do just that. But for all good cats everywhere, love is in the air. Valentine's Day signals a chance for romance. It's hearts and flowers time. Music and dance and candy hearts are everywhere! So break out the catnip toys and pamper your kitties. Let them know you love them, just like we do every year. They may not really know it's Valentine's Day. But they will always recognize and share your love. Love will never go out of style at any time of the year, or at any age. And nothing says love quite like a nice purring cat in your lap. Happy Valentine's Day from The Tyger's Den!
